THERAPIST INFORMATION AND APPROACH

Sessions will be facilitated by Claudia Helt (formerly Hall), a Licensed Professional Counselor for 26 years and Reiki Master and Healing Touch Practitioner for over 12 years. Educated and trained in the field of Psychology, Claudia works with individuals, couples, and groups in private practice in Austin, Texas.  She enjoys working with both women and men and particularly embraces assisting individuals with their self-exploration and self-discovery processes.  Claudia is extensively trained in the areas of dysfunctional family ramifications, emotion/physical and sexual abuse issues, anxiety/depression, loss/grief, the hopelessness of isolation and separation, and the development process of psycho-spiritual transition and transformation.

Claudia prefers an eclectic approach to therapy.  Her therapy style is interactive, mindful, and respectfully challenging allowing the client to be her/his own leader.  The process honors the client promoting a team-like approach to the therapeutic experience.  Grounded in the relational model while accepting of alternative modalities, Claudia pursues a well rounded approach to the healing process.

Having worked with many survivors of childhood abuse, Claudia maintains and firmly believes there is a natural progression to the healing process that culminates in compassionate and effective recovery.  Whether focusing primarily from a traditional psychotherapy approach or utilizing alternative methods, the healing process unfolds resulting in a deeper understanding and more peaceful life transition.

In recent years, Claudia pursued her own spiritual evolution which  brought her to a greater understanding of the dynamics and influences of this process.  As a result of her experiences, she revels in the opportunity of assisting individuals with their unique experiences through the utilization of alternative healing modalities. Also trained in Healing Touch and Usui Reiki, Claudia discovered by blending these techniques, a gentle, harmonious. and calming approach to self-exploration and self-actualization resulted.  Through intentional focus upon the "Whole Person", addressing mind, body, and spirit, the individual experiences a much more thorough, expansive, and comprehensive process.
