A Seeker’s Guide
A Seeker’s Guide is intended to serve as a momentary teacher, an assistant guide to those seeking the meaning and purpose of her/his life experience. Though it is not the answer to your questions of who you are, why you are, and how you are, it may assist you in discovering your answers to these elusive questions. This is the Guide’s purpose. Use it wisely, purposefully, and open-mindedly.
EXCERPTS FROM SEVERAL CHAPTERS
Chapter One
We begin this journey by offering a reminder. The reminder consists of the most significant gift of the Universal Source of Oneness.
The Gift is “Free Will”
In all ways and for all times the gift of free will has permeated the depths of being. Without free will there would be no journey, for the desire to know all there is to know comes from the freedom to wonder about all there is to know. This wonderment sparks the curious nature within the existing being propelling us forward on the never-ending search, the on-going adventure to seek to find, to know all there is to know.
This search, the adventure to know all there is to know evolves into the “journey” which provides endless opportunities for exploration, all of which are guided by our free will to choose, and thus, through the gift of free will, we choose our adventures and we create our journeys.
While A Seeker’s Guide may more aptly serve the seeker who prefers to be actively involved in the formation of their journey, it is also a resource for those who await the journey to unfold before them. How one chooses to approach their journey reflects individual free will and one approach is not deemed better than another, but recognition that one is indeed participating in
a journey is of extreme usefulness.
The level of involvement in participation again is an element of free will. How actively or passively one chooses to engage in participation may or may not influence the outcome, but it may perhaps influence the perception of the experience. How often have we experienced an event from a perspective of surprise rather than expectancy based upon our degree of participation in that event?
A child is expected for nine months. Upon its arrival, the proud parents are surprised by many aspects of this new arrival, but nonetheless the child was expected and preparations for the new arrival were made readied in anticipation for the coming event. The unfolding of a journey is not unlike the birth of a child. In the beginning, there is willingness to co-create and there is intention to participate. Then there is expectancy, during which one prepares in various ways to ready oneself for the arrival of the new unfolding. Unknown is it to the expectant seeker precisely what the new unfolding will bring, but as best able, the seeker anticipates the new arrival and awaits the unfolding birth, and then the process begins again. One unfolding births another unfolding, evolving one from another, with or without recognition by the involved participant. The on-going nature of this process provides infinite opportunities for a seeker to explore every aspect of every curiosity for endless time.
This occurs. Whether it is in your awareness or not, it occurs. How aware you wish to be is your choice. You are a recipient of “Free Will” remember? You are free to participate and you are free to choose how actively you wish to participate, or perhaps it is better stated that you are free to “consciously” participate, because you are participating whether you are conscious of that participation or not.
Since participation is a given, why not choose to be aware of the participation? All it requires is free will, which is also a given. So if participation is a given and free will is a given, what do you have to lose?
Except conscious awareness!
Chapter Twenty One
How often have you heard yourself complain about your present circumstances?
Our human inclination is to admire that which we do not have and to disdain that which we possess. Invariably, we want what we don’t have and we’re dissatisfied with what we do have, and then to add insult to injury, someone else has what we want.
This disgruntled way of experiencing abundance offers few rewards, yet it is practiced by many who struggle with the concept of acceptance. Unfortunately, when one is unaware of the gift of abundance, the concept of abundance is difficult to accept.
This lack of awareness fosters dissatisfaction and breeds discontent. In belief that one is lacking, one finds fault with those perceived as having, and thereby, envy and jealousy are procreated. Proliferation of these deceptions of truth further removes us from the awareness of our own abundance. So focused are we on what we perceive is missing that we are unable to see what is present, and in this state of misperceived deprivation, we live life as if we were barren of abundance. From this misunderstanding, many suffer, but of this misunderstanding, few know it as such. No further from the truth could this be.
Chapter Thirty Three
As we proceed with this phase of the journey, let us begin by again remembering we are the recipients of free will. Why, you may ask, is this author repeatedly reminding us of this concept? Enough already, you may be saying!
And you’re right…enough already!
We are all granted free will. I get it! You get it! We all get it!
So does this mean that you really “get” it? Do you really accept the idea that you indeed possess free will and do you really understand what that means?
Lesson One:
* Free will is.
* Free will is free.
* Free will is free will.
* Free will is free will for all.
* Free will is free will for all to access.
* Free will is free will for all to access for all times.
* Free will is free will for all to access for all times forever.
* Free will is free will for all to access for al times forever by all.
* Free will is free will for all to access for all times forever by all who choose.
* Free will is free will for all to access for all times forever by all who choose to choose
* Free will is free will for all to access for all times forever by all who choose to choose free
will.
Do you get it?
The Gift of Free Will is yours to choose to access, but you must choose to do so.
Chapter Sixty One
The time has come to know more of who you really are. You are not who you appear to be my Dear Old Friend, you are much more. We think only of the present image we see reflecting in our mirrors and we believe this is who we really are. This could not be further from the Truth. You are so much more! And at some level you know this.
